Hi, I am an exchange student from Singapore currently living in Amsterdam. Back in Singapore, I study at the National University of Singapore Faculty of Law. It's my first time in Europe and I am looking forward to using this opportunity travel the entire European continent!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Besides trying to save on some costs (because I'm still a student), I look forward to interacting with the locals of each country I visit, as I feel that surely the locals know more than what the guide books have to offer! Also, what's a better way to experience the culture than mingling with the locals.

I used to play the guitar in High School.
I like trance, house, rock, alternative, and many more.
Also, I've picked up photography recently, partly to document my travels and also to do something creative.

Movies: My all-time favourite is Inception.
Books: It's limited to law readings prescribed by my modules at university (which is a lot), so i try to do something else in my free time.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Running away from the police when spotted drinking in a public area in Singapore - yes, Singapore passed a new law last year outlawing drinking in public. It's crazy.

Teach, Learn, Share

I guess I could teach you mandarin. I studied for two years in Shanghai, China, so my mandarin is not too bad. Maybe a little bit of Shanghainese. And cantonese of course, because I was originally from Hong Kong.

I could share with you a little bit about the "draconian" laws of Singapore if you're interested to find out about! And also about East Asia and South East Asia, to the best of my knowledge.
