About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Get involved in my community and focus on my music!

ABOUT ME

Well, I joined the army in 2003, right out of high school. I didn't really know what I wanted to do, but it's given me a lot of insight into the world, it's let me travel a bit, and made me a better person. I've been to Afghanistan for a year, seen some things I'd rather forget, but for the most part it was an amazing experience. Now I'm out and settled in beautiful North Idaho, I have a full time job, but I'm stoked to share this secret place with whomever is interested!

PHILOSOPHY

I don't believe in any religion or god, I think everything happens for a reason, and I try and live my life as a good person and hope I'm treated the same way.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I've hosted quite a few people at my place in Idaho, whether they give me a days notice or two weeks, I'm usually free to show them around this beautiful place I call home. My friend Kate and I have started a potluck in Sandpoint to get all the local surfers together. And when I surf, I always give back to my host, whether it be a souviner from home, or an American home cooked meal.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I´ve been hiking in the Appalacian mountains with a CS´r, spent the night in A´dam, Munich, and Paris, been paragliding over the Neuschwanstein Castle, and have met almost a hundred people at CS meetings, they are so fun!!

Interests

I love adventure! Camping, hiking, rock climbing, snowboarding, sky diving, biking, learning, traveling...life is way too short to wait for something to happen!
I'm also a drummer and am very passionate about music, so if you have a instrument, bring it over and we'll get a jam going on!

Music, Movies, and Books

Movies: Heat, Point Break, Big Lebowski, anything with Will Ferrel!
Music: Give me rock!! Thrice, Dio, Pink Floyd, In Flames, Saosin...the list goes on. I also love The Talking Heads and The Cure. Galactic and Lettuce. I'm very eclectic and open when it comes to music!
Books: I love non-fiction adventure stories, The hard way, seven summits, over the edge. I also enjoy a good fantasy book or a louis lamour...but who doesn't?:)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I have been part of something bigger than myself, the Army. I've deployed to Afghanistan and flown over 500 combat hours in the mountains and dessert. I helped a lot of people over there, in humanitarian aid, and our soldiers.
I spent 3 months in Europe, and not only met amazing people through CS, but also just good-hearted people, willing to help me out!

Teach, Learn, Share

I am an aircraft mechanic, and was in the military, so I know how they operate and what goes into the production.
I love to cook, and learn about cooking. Any new recipe or style will stay in my mind forever!
I want to learn Spanish, I think it´s an amazing worldwide language.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I always bring a little something from home for my hosts, whether it's some token or trinket or even cooking a meal. I also am respectful and mindful of my hosts everyday lives and lifestyles.

Countries I’ve Visited

Belgium, France, Germany, Netherlands, Spain

Countries I’ve Lived In
