ABOUT ME

Well what do I say?

I'm a good person, bright, happy attitude, not much in the way of personal attitude. At least I try to distance myself from it as much as I can. I keep myself busy at home in australia. I spend a lot of time at work and when I'm not there i get around on my bike sometimes riding up to 110 kilometers in a day,or do walks in the local area and in the bush. I'm very physical. I visit my friends a lot, they're important to me. I don't have a relationship or kids, I'm happily single. I love cooking and looking after myself

PHILOSOPHY

I like people to be the best they can be.
I try to keep myself happy and I find that if i do, it attracts people who are good to me and who are happy as well.

I believe that 'life is just to short for anger..' and tend to forget any disputes very quickly..

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Unfortunately I havent been able to reciprocate the generosities I have recieved in my own home. But when i have travelled I have enjoyed hospitalities that have meant much to me. I have memories that will stay with me forever..and friends that I keep in contact with...

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

My couch surfing experience has been great. A pleasure really. I have had the chance to stay with complete stangersm, who have talked with me a little about themslves, have shown me something of importance to them and taught me something of their culture.

I am still in regular contact with some of my couch surfing friends, years after having met them

I have heaps of those. meeting people, ridng, walking, bush walking, excercise and swimming.I have a very bac sense of humour and tend to laugh at my own jokes. I'm also interested in my work, reading, cooking, vegetarianism, movies, a bit of tv, going out, playing pool, getting out and being active in life and...staying home and relaxing as well

Most anything sci fi. 2001 a space odessy, any of the star treks, doctor who old and new. Harry potter is a fun read/ and movie and, lord of the rings. I dont follow many of the current tv shows--maybe glee--but not a lot outside of that,

I met the man that I consider to be the 'Father' of modern couchsurfing (Ramon Stopelenburg, who I believe has a page on this site.)I met him (by accident) in 2007 but heard of him in 2000. Before then, he had an idea to use the internet to find some people, from a particular countries, who would let him stay for a day (http://www.letmestayforaday.com/aboutme.php) . The idea was that this would be a free stay but there would be an exchange in learning about culture, experiences and what makes us the same. This idea captured my imagination it stayed with me, and I have had the chance to live it and would love to do it again

There's always something to learn isn't there? I hope to model good companionship, good company, politeness and manners. Good spirit! I function most well when I get these in return. It is the environment in which I function best.
