ABOUT ME
I'm a pretty laid back dude. I don't bite. I have a silly sense of humor when the mood strikes. I'm fairly adventurous, and like to take random trips. Things I'm passionate about: the environment and politics.
PHILOSOPHY
The best things in life aren't things.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I heard about this through friends, and read about it in ??National Geographic Adventure??, so thought I'd give it a try. I was going through a transitional period... but I've settled in at Denver for now, and my couch is open for business (time willing).
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I took 2 monthlong trips after I got laid off in 2007, when I was trying to figure out where I wanted to live next. One was out West via a monthlong Amtrak pass - I hit Denver, Salt Lake, San Fran, Portland, Boise, Seattle. The other was out East via car - Pittsburgh, Boston, Acadia NP, New York City, Washington DC, Asheville NC, Charleston SC, Gainesville FL, Key West, Miami, and Atlanta. Funny thing is, I drove right through Orlando, and then ended up living there for 2 years.

Music, Movies, and Books
My musical interests run the gamut... Nine Inch Nails, Foo Fighters, Tori Amos, Jack Johnson, Michael Jackson, Rascal Flatts... Fav movie is still Braveheart, and if I had to pick a comedy it'd be Stepbrothers. I love Will Ferrell. I'm also into indie flicks and horror. As long as it has a good plot, I usually like it.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Playing frisbee golf at night in Golden Gate Park, Bud Light en towe.
Teach, Learn, Share
Something I've found, is it's fun to stay with people who have different interests and lifestyles - it'll really challenge your paradigm. You don't have a lot of chances in life to meet people this way, so take advantage.
