About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Travelling the world, one NGO job at a time.

ABOUT ME

I am a recently Returned Peace Corps Volunteer, having completed almost three years in North Macedonia. It looks like New Orleans will be my next home.

PHILOSOPHY

I want to be remembered as a decent human being that shared what he had, never turned his back on someone whose need was greater than his own, and always kept a bit of childlike wonder in his life.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I host whenever I can and surf whenever I can.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Had my first experience as a guest in Vancouver, BC. An absolutely wonderful experience. Since then have surfed throughout the US and Canada. I'm currently working on a "fantasy tour" of Europe and plan on surfing through 25 countries and over a hundred stops over the course of a year . . . It just keeps getting better.

Music, Movies, and Books

Movies- NO horror. TCM, Merchant-Ivory, North by Northwest, Shawshank Redemption, Local Hero, Sherlock Holmes anytime. Music- almost everything, but, if it degrades, it doesn't get played. Books- Wodehouse, Waugh, Maugham, Mortimer, Conan Doyle, JRR, Le Carre, Asimov, "Doc" Smith for starters . . .

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Living today.

Teach, Learn, Share

Wow, I can't even begin to approach this one. I find the older I get, the less I know, but the wiser I become.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I'm a great cook and love to host my hosts at a home-cooked meal.

Countries I’ve Visited

Albania, Brunei Darussalam, Bulgaria, Canada, China, Costa Rica, Czech Republic, France, Hungary, Malaysia, Malta, Mexico, Puerto Rico, Thailand, Ukraine, United Kingdom, United States
