About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To discover more to about the world than my little life

ABOUT ME

Now that I'm in my 30's, I find myself looking for more than just work/drink/sleep. I've always been adventurous by myself, it just seems like I can't find anyone to go on adventures with. I don't plan very well, most of the time I do things quite spontaneous. I want to use this service to meet people from around the country and the world.

PHILOSOPHY

I live so that I don't hurt anyone else. I don't believe I'm entitled to anything. I constantly work to earn what I have, be that friendships or love or my job.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Right now, I'm going to start hosting. Once I get comfortable with this service, I'll travel.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I worked at the Wooden Shoe for a while. (a local anarchist collective book store) One night a couple of British women explained how they were stranded after leaving the keys to their friend's apartment in a store that was now closed. I let them stay on my couch for the night, gave them some tokens for public transportation, and gave them a map of the city. It made me feel very hospitable, and my city is not known for kindness.

Interests

I'm a nerd. I like comics, especially anything spooky cute. Sci-Fi and Fantasy. I love riding my bike to the river and eating lunch. I make movies with my friends. I cook as much as I can.

Music, Movies, and Books

I read WAY too much political non-fiction and not enough sci-fi fiction.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I was an EMT. I brought someone back from the dead once. That was pretty fucking awesome. I just helped my sister give birth to my nephew, what a wonderful experience!!

Teach, Learn, Share

I'm just starting to get into medicinal herbalism. I've been learning which plants I can use to cure ailments, as well as how to prepare them. I have also been learning food combinations for eating your way to health. All of this is very new for me, but I'm willing to learn with others!

Countries I’ve Visited
