About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Expand my horizons and step out of my comfort zone

ABOUT ME

I'm in my mid-twenties and the need to travel and do what I want is NOW-- while I'm young and single and without any responsibilities such as a family to take care of and children to send off to school. In other words, I'm in a selfish phase of life right now :P

PHILOSOPHY

I indulge in optimism, admire idealism (to a reasonable extent haha), and I believe in pursuing your dreams. If you want something, just go ahead and do it.

Music, Movies, and Books

I'm not much of a music lover (can't work/concentrate/think/sleep with music playing!) but I like Lenka, Rooney, Incubus, Death Cab for Cutie, Maroon 5, Coldplay-- something along those lines.
Fave movies include: My Sassy Girl (Korean), City of God, What Dreams May Come, The Truman Show, The Parent Trap, Lilo and Stitch, Mean Girls, The Shawshank Redemption, etc.
Books: My top favorites are Paolo Coelho's The Alchemist and Lois Lowry's The Giver.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Toploaded on a jeepney from Banaue to Sagada, bumpy washed out roads and all

Caving in Sagada and a 7-hour trek that included "surprise rock climbing" to Pongas falls :P

Traveled to and around San Francisco by myself.

A children's book I illustrated will be published later this year (2012) :)

Teach, Learn, Share

I'm a freelance illustrator-- I quit my job twice to pursue illustration fulltime :P I like to draw and do arts and crafts and I'm always looking for people to draw with or do fun, crafty things together. I don't like/"get" pseudo-intellectual, emo, depressing, pretentious art though (I like my art cute, bright, and happy)-- just check out my website http://www.wedgienet.net and if you think our art clicks together, get in touch and we'll sit down for a drawing or crafting session :P
