About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Subterfuge of the mundane

ABOUT ME

Favorite sport: Pig racing.

PHILOSOPHY

My personal philosophy is certainly malleable to my mood, but currently it reflects a quote by Kurt Vonnegut which is roughly:
"We must always be throwing ourselves off of cliffs and learning to fly on the way down."

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I'm still new to this project. I have hosted homeless people on my couch before, but not always with my prior consent, so this site seems like a great idea.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

My favorite random stay was with a man with no pupils in Torun, Poland. My friend and I asked him if he knew where the hostel was, and he told us that we were not allowed to go to the hostel, we would have to stay with him. Since he had no pupils, we hesitated a little, but in the end his family was truly kind, giving us tea and nice mattresses. His father had an eight inch moustache and his mother was mute. They gave us the keys and told us not to wake them up when we came in.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I have stood on the bow of a double-masted schooner as we plunged between the swells of a fair breeze, and as the boat wretched and worked, the spray and waves smashing overboard, my Dominican coffee did not get any salt in it and tasted just lovely.
