As I live in a society with an over consuming mentality my main mission is to distract myself from the elements that will make me forget what is important in life. To remember that material things neither can make me happy or unhappy, that my mental state simply is not affected by items at all.

Enjoying life in a clean and simple way without stressful pressure and judgments on me and the people I meet.

ABOUT ME

I love language, art, nature, music, culture and food. Energic and passionate about everything I do, even when I'm doing nothing at all.

Like most people on this site I am addicted to traveling. If I come across a guidebook I would not burn it and curse all the touristic traps of a place to make myself believe that I am more of a genuine traveler than everyone else. I have nothing to prove to anyone. But I enjoy life outdoors and trying new things so I'm mostly up for doing anything people around me suggests.

I am that kind of person who can't stop growing plants and take care of them as family. I am that kind of person who doesn't bring a camera to assure that I am enjoying every moment with my full attention. I am definitely that person who doesn't plan too much and it's rare for me to know what I'll be doing next week. I believe life is too short to hold myself back from doing anything a want to do so I have few rules and no routines to live by.

My back sides would be that I am a bit too confident and that I have a dirty mouth. I swear too much and can be a bit cocky. Still very respectfull and open-minded though. I can guarantee that I'm always honest.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I don't use this site nearly as much as I should. Most of my hosting and guesting has been outside couch surfing for some reason but I do find it to be the best way to travel, even if just for the events you can attend.

Interests

I like writing a lot. Frequent journal writing since I was 11 is gradually replaced by writing personal letters and messages to friends. Because sharing is better.

Home or traveling, I go hiking a lot. Forest is my most preferred terrain but anything works, cities too if the air isn't too bad.

A big part of my day evolves around food. I put a lot of time into cooking from scratch and can't stand a day without veggies. When doing so I often have a cocktail around. Maybe a pinacolada with thick coconut cream or a mojito with mint from my balcony.

Music, Movies, and Books

To talk about movies and not directors is like talking about songs and not artists. I enjoy Wes Anderson, Cohen brothers, Tarantino, Ken Loach, Guy Ritchie, Shane Meadows and John Crowley just to mention a few.

Indie, Rock, Blues, Jazz, Reggie, Classic - they all work. Live music is a big part of my life. Im really into world music. Mostly that kind that sound like it's from some ancient culture or voodoo ritual.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I am very fortunate to a have experienced so much of life under water. From the deep cracks between continental plates in Iceland to reefs outside countries like Croatia, Cambodia and Australia.
