ABOUT ME
We value slowness and simplicity. We value the land and connection to the earth. We value time, and value timelessness. We value people and their beauty. We long to listen and engage in conversation with passionate people. We enjoy sharing ourselves, our thoughts, our history, our laughter. We appreciate learning from others and receiving their knowledge. We give generously and are grateful for the love of others. We respect those who grow food & cultivate the land. We enjoy slow cooked wholesome meals. We enjoy observing others doing what brings them happiness. We enjoy witnessing the simple beauty of life processes. We aim to share with others our love and joy, and our appreciation of life. We acknowledge the capability of the body and the power of the mind. We aim to learn from the world, and be actively engaged with it.
We have a blog at www.wegoslow.com
PHILOSOPHY
It is not enough to fight for the land; it is even more important to enjoy it. While you can. While it’s still here. So get out there and hunt and fish and mess around with your friends, ramble out yonder and explore the forests, climb the mountains, bag the peaks, run the rivers, breathe deep of that yet sweet and lucid air, sit quietly for a while and contemplate the precious stillness, the lovely, mysterious, and awesome space. Enjoy yourselves, keep your brain in your head and your head firmly attached to the body, the body active and alive, and I promise you this much; I promise you this one sweet victory over our enemies, over those desk-bound men and women with their hearts in a safe deposit box, and their eyes hypnotized by desk calculators. I promise you this; You will outlive the bastards.” –Edward Abbey

Scott drinks yerba mate pretty much all day long and he loves sharing its goodness with people. We really enjoy cooking and eating delicious food, and like to share our vegetarian preferences with others. Sprouting beans and seeds and making yogurt are regular activities. And we like to hear other wonderful ideas and recipes too! We've learned a bit about bike maintenance, and will most likely learn some more along the way. We'd love to dork out about bicycles with you! We would love to sit and chat with you about anything and everything, and exchange knowledge.
