About Me

I'm a recent graduate from UC Davis and studied Mechanical Engineering. I love to bike and explore new places with good people. The world is a huge place with many many different perspectives, and I'd love to hear what other people think and what they have to say.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I heard about Couchsurfing through my brother Greg. I think he started being a member of this community when he went on a trip through Asia many years back. He hosted people at our house after his trip, so throughout high school, it was not uncommon for there to be a random person at home with him.

I think when this first started it was a bit odd for me. I couldn't wrap my head around why he would let a complete stranger into our home. Though I quickly learned it was because he appreciated getting to know people from outside of the typical social circles he was comfortable with.

I'm on Couchsurfing because I hoping to do what my brother did and meet new people and experience new things!

Music, Movies, and Books

I like all sorts of music, but my favorite band is probably the Beatles. Paul McCartney is amazing. Also love Jimi Hendrix and Stevie Ray Vaughan...Stevie was the one that made me fall in love with blues music (with his song "Lenny") and Jimi is a constant source of inspiration. Too much other stuff to list! But lately I have been loving Julien Baker. LISTEN TO HER!

Movies: I like Little Miss Sunshine, Boyhood, Room, Short Term 12, Silver Linings Playbook...lots of Sundance-esque stuff.

Books: I need to read more. I really liked Catcher in the Rye, 1984, Battle Royale, and the Hunger Games books.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I biked to Vancouver, B.C. after my freshman year of college with my buddy Jeff from our hometown of Fountain Valley. Was a great trip where we met a bunch of great people, saw beautiful scenery and experienced many great cities!
