ABOUT ME

Easier way for my name if necessary: on my "way" to "leave"-- WeiLi.

Got into college wanting to be a psychotherapist. Realized that I wasn't the right fit. Later took a gap year to travel in Australia and China. During the trip, I dabbled in programming in my spare time and fell in love with it. So now I am just getting ready to graduate and do something in the computer science world!

Be warned though. Old habit dies hard. I still love asking intrusive questions with the passionate eyes of a psychotherapist.

Also like hiking and jogging in my free time. Although it's a struggle to keep doing these to make them really a part of my life.

By the way, I am a reddit addict.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I had been lurking in this community for a while before my first surfing experience. It was in Texas and I met three different hosts. What could I say? We had a lot of "moments" :)

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I live in Champaign-Urbana in Illinois and my roommate are not comfortable with strangers (or future friends?). So I have only surfed a few times so far.

Interests

Hiking and jogging.

But my favorite is spontaneity, which I still working on :)

"the best of youth" six-hour long Italian movie. Like the name, it's all about learning and growing with passion.
"Before sunrise, sunset, midnight" the best romantic movie I have ever watched. Hope to recreate the relationship in this movie in my personal life.
Also "boyhood" by again, Richard Linklater.
"Into the wild" This movie ignited my passion for outdoors. Keep watching it for the second time also helps me think about dreams, reality, and family.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I set up a routine of family meeting two years ago in my famliy. I am just happy that the meeting proves to bring the family closer and help us understand each other.
