CURRENT MISSION

My mission in life is to one day create a huge animal shelter. I also want to write some damn good novels that would make people laugh, cry, hate.

ABOUT ME

I'm an entrepreneur - I created wePapers.com (a website that is making academic knowledge accessible to everyone on the planet, not just to college students).
I'm also a writer wannabe.
I'm 26 years and love animals.
I used to be an elementary school science teacher and a bodega worker and a dog worker and a journalist and I used to talk on the radio for a while.

PHILOSOPHY

I'm still trying to figure life out.
I believe in contributing to the world in some meaningful way as everyone's mission.
I started a startup company for the sole mission of becoming a millionaire and retire at 30, and after 2 years realized that dream is bogus. I still want to be a millionaire, but now I know why - to build that mega animal shelter that I've been dreaming of all my life.

I'm very very new to CS.
I have no idea how to participate just yet (ideas are welcome though).

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I first couchsurfed in New York and New Jersey last December. People were so nice, I loved it! Also went there to a CS party.

Interests

Books, traveling, writing, movies (of any possible genre), music (of almost any possible genre), stand up comedy, brainwash, photography, rock-climbing, basketball, just walking around... sparking interesting conversations.

Music, Movies, and Books

Books: Gustav Meyrink and similar. If you're a Meyrink or Ferdinand Celine fan we'll be best friends forever and ever.
I love film noir, but also any other kind of movies as long as they're not crap. Huge Billy Wilder fan.
I love good travel and adventure books, although they got a cheap reputation in recent decades. I love mysticism related novels, classics and interesting nonfiction. Currently reading Steinbeck's awesome "Travels with Charley".
Big fan of Dexter.
As for music, I listen to anything from Aphex Twin to Friedrich Chopin - anything goes. Currently listening to a lot of Sufjan Stevens and obsessing with Radiohead's album In Rainbows. Big drum n' bass fan too.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I saved a 2 weeks old kitten that was trapped inside a car. I called her Hyundai. My roommates didn't allow me to keep her so I gave her away to a loving family, but she soon later passed away.

Teach, Learn, Share

You can peel a banana simply by pinching the bottom part, but almost no one knows it.
Floss, or at least tell people you do. It has the same effect, but it's an important one.
