When I was 20, I went on a bike tour abroad my island Taiwan. It was then I hit on the fact that I didn't know much about my country. And when I had been staying abroad for over a month, it got more obvious that the world was distinct from what my previous education and the media presented to me.
As I have turned 21, I decided that actions needed to be taken for me to get to know the real world, not sugar-coated. With my backpack in hand, I started on the journey, and the first stop was the US.

From Fall 2016 to Spring 2017 I had been studying abroad at North Carolina State University, where I experienced a whole new world of education. I met quite a few professors who enlightened me in different fields of study, and friends who shared their unique but inspiring philosophy with me.
Throughout this year, I've been challenging myself on backpacking around the US. Although assisted by many, I could notice myself growing from all the incidences that came, and see myself much clearer than before.
While learning to brave my timidity, I, for the best hope, am on my way to becoming a true traveler.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

It's a challenge that I'm still hesitant on taking on because of my lack of experience, but I know there are a lot of friendly and inspiring people out there and I want to meet all the amazing people around the world.

I like soft and comforting music, especially those sung by my favorite Korean singer.

The Korean movie "The Way Home" never fails to make me tear up, as it talks about family.
I enjoyed watching Captain America: Civil War and Wonder Woman a lot, they are my favorites so far.

Comic history interests me the most, I like the books that are informative and meanwhile fun to read.
