About Me
I'd love to have time to meet you all, and you are great. But please tell us what your superpower is in the first line of the message you send.
MY PHILOSOPHY
51% having immense amounts of fun
49% making the world a better place in the future
There is as much beauty in throwing a party in the pool as there is in a biomol paper or in super mario bros.
Let's put it this way: there is no reason to choose between champagne party in the bathub, waterfall and sunrise while discussing the history of the universe, love songs from the sixties, 12 hours straight of dancing psy, writing papers on human evolution, being polyamorous and being a party animal.
So I don't.
Dance, monkeys, dance!
Welcome! hola! ça va? yak s mash? beleza?
I'm fascinated by travelling, social relations, psychology, and, believe it or not, logic, physics, all the geeky stuff, you name it! I study consciousness, evolution and intelligence. I'm a stuborn optimist about everything, so you'll never convince me that we live in an age of darkness and that the world is worse today than it was before, swallow your arguments and go out to experience the world to see how marvellous it is...
I'm a philosopher, but not your average philosopher, for one thing I direct an institute www.ierfh.org, for another, I am very social, gregarious and rejoice in the outdoor life. I'm very altruistic, and try to make the world a better place by the most effective means possible. Sometimes it works, sometimes I have to laugh of myself, you'll have fun anyway!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Life is kinda super-awesome for extroverted people who are unafraid of travelling alone, that is what I figured out
Interests
I'll quote myself, for that is somewhat a strange thing to do: "Playing, thrill, desire for knowledge, social interaction, sensuality, form, [...] and Experience have shaped me into who I am" if you want to know the rest go to http://brainstormers.wordpress.com/2008/09/15/what-i-learned-to-appreciate/

Music, Movies, and Books
Movies I love all of them:
Some good: 360º, Waking Life, Vicky Cristina Barcelona, Wall-e. BBC's Life.
Some bad: 2012, The day the earth stood still, little manhattan.
Some you wouldn't believe I enjoyed: Departures, A.I., The Lake House, something's gotta give, The Elegant Universe, Particle Physics.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
1 Singing opera in the street.
2 One and a half year of a cultural dance from I culture I don't even belong to!
3 10 Hours writing straight on philosophy of mind
4 Calling adults “adults”
5 Having an open relashionship with 4 girls at the same time
6 Chanting hinduist mantras
7 Running up the mountain in the rain to tell someone I'm sorry while listening to hard rock.
8 Earning a prize in cognitive neuroscience.
9 Singing children songs with a cute 8 year old while the “adults” have a party
10 Having a monkey and a monocicle as two of my biggest dreams.
