About Me

I always enjoyed traveling a lot. One of the first things my friends would say about me is that it can be difficult to meet me because I am out traveling.
During my studies I had the chance to do internships abroad, go on an exchange semester or just travel around to see different countries and meet new cultures and its people. This is maybe what I enjoyed the most - meeting new people from all over the world and make friends to share some great moments.
One and a half years ago I moved to Texas for my job. This was a great opportunity for me to explore a new part of the world.

Right now I have some weeks off and my brother is coming to visit me from Austria and we are heading out on a ski trip through North America, starting from Texas to New Mexico - California - Utah - Colorado - Wyoming - Montana and Maybe Whistler. If we are still able to sit in a car by then ;)
Except of travelling, sports always played an important role in my life. This is the reason why I am starting out on a skiing road trip through the US and am looking forward to meet great people to share some memorable moments!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I really like the idea of Couchsurfing. It is a great community and I have met a lot of great people through when my roommates and me were hosting a lot of people when we were living in Madrid. The greatest thing about it is to meet locals because you get a completely different and authentic view of the country and its culture.

Now, as I am going on a long road trip I hope that I can use Couchsurfing to meet locals and it would be a great way to keep the budget low.

Interests

Apart from traveling I really like doing sports. As I grew up in Austria, mountains always played an important role for me and I like skiing, hiking, climbing, mountainbiking. After moving to Texas and the lack of mountains I started to roadbike.
I also enjoy reading, movies, cooking, art.
