About Me
CURRENT MISSION
To improve the health of the world one person at a time
ABOUT ME
I'm an athlete turned scientist turned health promotion director. After deciding to study Nutrition and Physiology instead of attending medical school, I moved to California for grad school. After 5 tremendous years living the life of a grad student, I moved back to the East Coast and landed my dream job at NIH. I left NIH about a year ago and I'm now leading a health promotion program for over 400,000 federal government employees.
Outside of my job, triathlons, soccer and traveling are my greatest passions. I love experiencing other cultures first hand and I can't wait to visit Europe again later this year.
When I'm not working, I love being active and spend as much time outside as I can. On the weekends you can usually find me on a soccer field or volunteering at a local race, riding one of my bikes, doing yoga or making dinner with friends.
PHILOSOPHY
"Our attitudes control our lives. Attitudes are a secret power working twenty four hours a day, for good or bad. It is of paramount importance that we know how to harness and control this great force."- Tom Blandi

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I had several awesome CouchSurfing experiences over the last couple years in Corning, Syracuse, State College, Philly, Raleigh, Miami, Orlando, Asheville and Richmond. In Corning, my plans fell through and a great couple hosted me at the last minute. In Philly I met an awesome lady who provided a wonderful room and delicious breakfast. In State College, Orlando and Miami I made several new friends!
