(This profile is partly out of date and does reflect more, who I was a few years ago then who I am now)

I am still trying to find out who I am and who I want to become. I like uncertainty in general and prefer surprises to exact planing. I am really curious, try to be open to what's happening around me and really feel and experience live.

I want to enjoy life. Not by accumulating stuff and events, but by being quiet and patient, going deeper and learning to appreciate the small things.

Right now my whole life revolves around dancing.

Interests

Dance. A few years ago I quit my phd in computer science and started to study contemporary dance and improvisation full time.

Contemporary dance and Contact Improvisation;
Tango argentino;
Meditation, especially Zen;
Ashtanga Yoga.
Languages, at the moment my favourite one is Finnish sign language, but I've forgotten almost all of it;
I really like animals, especially the two dogs of my mum,
Spending time quietly in nature;
Swimming;

I started a bit with a lot of things like Juggling/Poi/Fire, Forro, Tai Chi or AcroYoga, but did not get very deeply into any of them yet. I'd like to learn more though!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I cut strawberries in the kitchen, while my brother and dogs were lying next to me and felt suddenly really connected to them and was very aware about the whole situation, my own body and every movement of my hands.

And I was canoeing from the Norwegian border through Sweden for two weeks, collecting berries and fishing (although I am an vegetarian normally) or hitch hiking through Japan and stuff, but moments like with the strawberries are what I really want.

Teach, Learn, Share

Both my parents are teachers and I seem to have gotten some of the spark from them. I love teaching everything I know and I'm always eager to find a really interested learner. I've been teaching for example math (topics have been ranging from fractions to the information geometry of boltzman machines), German, some basic juggling and Tango - last year I had my first weekend workshop in Tango as a teacher.
