Overview
About Me
"Me" is born in a small village in Bavaria, but actually, I am not very Bavarian - I do not even wear a Lederhosen and as a vegetarian I don't eat Weißwurst either. I had a strong Bavarian accent though, but during my stay in Poland, where I was for a voluntary service, I kind of "unlearned" Bavarian. After that I went searching for my roots and new friends on a 3-month-hike in France and Spain. Well, I did not find the meaning of life there, but I met lots of inspiring people and that enabled me to take the decision to study Political Science in former Eastern Germany. I like discussing with others and I especially like discussions, where not everyone has the same opinion, but everyone shares basic values like a support for Human Rights and Democracy. That said, you should probably know that I am gay and as long as you are fine with me being me I am fine with you being you.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Travelling opened my senses for that there is life behind my village. That there are different life styles, opinions, situations to cope with and also more possibilities what to do with my own life. Travelling is about inspiring each other. We start to understand each other better. Although I like sightseeing too (as the high culture is also part of a country's soul), most important to me is to see everyday life and get to know other people and their stories. Couchsurfing is perfect for that and I'd love to meet you!

Music, Movies, and Books
I encourage myself to read more. Some of my favourite books are "The Neverending Story" by Michael Ende (but as a real fan I have to hate the movie!) and "The Book Thief" by Markus Zusak (I did not even watch the movie - I feared the sky would be blue). Of course, I adore "The Little Prince" by Antoine de Saint-Exupéry. But I also read non-fiction like "Capital in the Twenty-First Cenury" by Thomas Piketty and books by Hannah Arendt.
I do not watch lots of movies, but I enjoy watching Series such as "Game of Thrones" and "Hosue of Cards" (of course), "Transparent" and "Please Like Me"
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I organized a "Model United Nations", which is a simulation of the United Nations by young people, and it was pretty amazing!
