ABOUT ME

i'm one with restless feet. armed with my trusty notebook and camera, i'm always looking for that opportunity to explore, see, and learn. in between the adventures, i teach at a special education school. i was born in rural china (in an area known for vinegar and noodles. yum!), but grew up in vermont and massachusetts (you can't go wrong with maple syrup and lobstah). i spend my free time reading, having a good cup of coffee, relaxing on the back porch, and cooking. oh, and i do like wandering around a good market.

Por qué estoy en Couchsurfing

my first introduction came from a friend, and the idea intrigued me. i love the free flow of culture that this community promotes, and the warmth that all the people i've met from couchsurfing has.

my first experience was in singapore, and it was awesome. my host introduced me to such a variety of foods in the hawker centers. i had my first roti pratha there, and i was hooked for life. 'wen, what are you going to have for breakfast today?' 'what i have every morning pinky: roti paratha!'

and yes, i will go back to singapore just for the late night durian stalls.

Intereses

traveling and seeing the nooks and crannies of places new and old. museums and galleries. reading. hiking the city and the wilderness. meeting new people and listening to the stories they tell.
