Overview
About Me
Nice to meet you :) ! I am Wencke, a designers who loves to explore communities, hand crafts and diy projects. In Dessau, Germany, where i am living, i am an active part of a collective/association that’s about maker spaces, urban gardening, food sharing and artistic workshops and ateliers.
And traveling always broadens the horizon plus brings a lot of foodgasm opportunities! Hehe.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
What fascinates me is community - that's why I am here, too. I am looking forward to meet new people and have authentic insights where I go. The idea of sharing your place without suspiciousness and with an open mind is what I want to be implemented in this world.
I've only done Couchsurfing twice and it was such a good time. I'd like to spread this experience as host and traveller, even though my WG (shared apartment) has no separate couch. With a kind message in the spirit of Couchsurfing we surely can arrange something :)

Music, Movies, and Books
I am into authors, directors and artists who like to put a lot of details in to their work. Fangirling hard for Wes Anderson and Tom Misch. I am excited to hear what you can recommend, I always look for nice novels and new stuff to learn. I recommend you "A Psalm for the Wild Built" von Becky Chambers. (Fiction Solar Punk)
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Created a community arts festival with my friends and brought a lot of people together - beautiful!
Teach, Learn, Share
I can teach you essential German curse words, I'd love to learn about your language, we can exchange nice recipes, sing or draw together and have a drink.
What I Can Share with Hosts
A chat, a laugh, a drawing and my knowledge so far. I make a really nice Chickar Cholay and Kichery, tought to me by my Pakistani friends :3
I can also share experience from community art projects, makerspaces and festivals I organize! :)
