About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Be happy, travel, smile.

ABOUT ME

I am currently in Toronto Ontario to take a Master's program in Journalism at Ryerson University. I love family, writing, reading, listening to music, having fun with friends, drinking wine, learning new things, meeting new people, laughing, sleeping in, TRAVELING. I have one sister, love guinea pigs and pandas, and could eat chocolate everyday for every meal. I dislike summing up who I am in a small box.

PHILOSOPHY

Be yourself. Work Hard. Travel.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

My boyfriend Luke and I couchsurfed three times in Europe this summer. We are now looking to return the favour, hopefully giving our guests as great an experience as we had this summer.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Surfed 3 times this summer in Belgrade, Budapest, and Rotterdam. All excellent, eye-opening, irreplaceable experiences.

Music, Movies, and Books

So so so many. I love the Beatles and anything from the 60s. Some absolute favourites include Ani DiFranco, Spoon, The New Pornographers (and Neko Case), The Weakerthans, TV on the Radio, Tegan and Sara, Andrew Bird, The National, The Shins, Hot Chip, REM, Radiohead, Jose Gonzalez, Madonna, John Mayor, Neil Young, Feist, Elliot Smith, Cat Power and many many others.
Movies include The Lives of Others, The Pianist, American Psycho, Michael Clayton, The Godfather, Schindler's List, Romeo and Juliet, Empire Records, and many more.
Too many books to name, but Hobbit is my favourite book ever.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I have survived 23 harsh Saskatchewan winters in -40 C temperatures! This winter, I started running and biking during them as well. I think that's pretty amazing!

Teach, Learn, Share

I would be more than happy to share all sorts of experiences with visitors to Toronto. I hope to have people show me the intricacies and highlights of their city, as well as gain some new friends.
