About Me

--- Welcome to Vorselaar in Belgium ---

I am a young woman with green eyes, two arms... and am very passionated about sustainable development, especially in capacity building. I see sustainable development not as giving people some fish, but teaching them how to fish. In the last ten years, I read courses on this as well volunteered and worked for organisations and companies that want to bring social innovation and want to decouple development with environmental impact.
I also did extra courses in permaculture design, environmental politics and philosophy and got a Master degree in Industrial Ecology. I studied in Sweden, Austria and Thailand. I took a gap of 5-6 years between my bachelor and master, to explore life, world and find my role in this life. After living for 2,5 years in Japan I am back in Belgium, since late February 2020.

I also love storytelling. I can be sometimes a dreamer. When I was a teenager, I played theater and sold even some theater plays which got performed. I worked also for Belgian television and a documentary house in Brussels involved in social and environmental activism. I love writing, and also blog for a Flemish mondial magazine about cultures and industrial ecology topics, like circular economy. In November 2019 my first book got published.

Third, I am a nomad. I have been in more than 60 countries, and lived at least for a year in Japan, Austria, Thailand and Czech Republic, and yes, Belgium :).

Traveling around the world, alone, in less than 9 months. I was 22-23 years old. Teach, Learn, Share

teach: geography, flemish cuisine, writing your name in the ancient greek language, film quotes, cinematography, environmental philosophy, social innovation...

learn: fixing things, gardening, learn how to use nature (in ecological way), sword fighting, no idea... always open for new ideas :)
