I am married, 22 years. Mother to two young children who we adopted last November. My husband and I live 20 minutes north/west of Syracuse, NY. We are active at our church, North Syracuse Baptist. I am co-founder of a rescue/adoption group here in Central NY, having placed over 100 ex-racing greyhound dogs in loving homes since 2001. My husband is a trainer at our local zoo in Syracuse, he has worked with Asian elephants there for over 25 years now. We presently have two French bulldogs, we love our dogs. We support adopting pets in need of homes...not supporting the puppy mill/ back yard breeders who do more harm then good for pets everywhere. I do love to travel but have not yet traveled outside the US. I hate to spend too much so if and when I find time to get away, I usually stay on the east coast.

When I can get free time, I enjoy traveling the east coast. I like meeting new people and enjoying nature in different settings. I'd love to get more involved with CouchSurfing, make new friends and offer hosting in return. We have a very busy household with both of us working, two kids and two dogs but if you think you can put up with that we can give some friendly company and possibly find some time to show you around or at the very least point you in the right direction. I think this is a great concept as opposed to high priced hoteling and not connecting with others.

Loving God. Anything near or on the ocean! The ocean, the ocean the ocean! lol Being outside, cross country skiing, Walking, Hiking, Tent Camping, Kayaking, Letterboxing, Biking, Animals and animal rescue/adoption, travel when and if I find time being a wife, mother and working part time.

Most genres of music- if I can hear/ understand the lyrics! lol I really enjoy most all kinds of movies. Most books but I haven't been finding the time to read much in recent years.

Become an adoptive mom to my nephew and niece last November. Being a parent is certainly the biggest challenge I have faced!
An amazing thing I'm excited to do this summer is to backpack-camp primitive style with my kids!! I love tent camping but have never primitive camped or backpacked in....so, with two young kids this should really be an adventure!!!
