I'm a Business Consultant (yawn) that goes on projects abroad, mainly in exotic places (which is slightly more exciting). Currently working and living in Indonesia.

To find somewhere to stay whilst on the road- aren't we all?

Ha, yes there's that, but honestly, an even more compelling reason for me is the cultural exchange experience as it's by far the best way to fully immerse yourself in a new environment and culture.

I've very little fear and inhibition, so anything adrenaline filled is my kinda sport.

I'm always looking for; mountains to climb, hills to hike, waters to swim, nature to surround myself in, cultural foods to taste, people to meet and exchange stories with, books to read and difficult words to pronounce in other languages.

Otherwise, a more boring side of me loves; learning about the government and politics of the country I'm in, startup businesses (how they came about), self-made entrepreneurs, women in business/ power, world history, human geography, finance (sometimes) and attending any sort of random trainings/ seminars/ courses.

Music, Movies, and Books

So, I've not read any of the Harry Potters (sorry to disappoint!), but I pretty much read anything people recommend or I find interesting.

Music and Movies- quite literally anything. I love anything live; solo or band, street buskers, musical, theatre, drama, comedy, sports etc.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Machu Picchu trek in Peru. Including 250m ziplining across a canyon.

Piranha fishing in the Pantanal (world's largest wetland), swamped with anacondas and caymans!

Spent a night on a floating island made of reeds with the indigenous Aymara people of Lake Titicaca.

Sunrise over the Maasai Mara. Watching the animals awaken and lioness out hunting as the sun lightens the entire safari (it was just like a scene from The Lion King!).

Mountain biked the Death Road in Bolivia.

Abseiled down a 90 metre cliff wall.

Paraglided off Ghana's second highest mountain, into sunset.

Bathed with elephants in Malaysia.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I think I've met enough cool travellers around the world to be able to direct you to a few for some local knowledge to avoid tourist traps or just to hang out or even a place to stay, who knows what they have to offer!
