I travelled a lot when I was in my 20's. I rode a bicycle thru SE Asia, India and Europe. I stayed in a squat in Amsterdam, riding my bike down thru Belgium, France and across to England, finally ending up in Scotland for nearly 20 years. I met my husband there on a windsurfing week.
We moved back to Australia in 2000 with our 2 children. One now learns Spanish and the other Italian.

My son is currently travelling thru Europe with his girlfriend and he wants to use couch surfing, so I thought I would give back by helping other travellers.

I am interested in Buddhism and meditation. I love exercising and being a family. I love eating hot chips on the beach after going for a walk at sunset.

I love nothing better than curling up in an armchair with a good book. I love teenage fantasy stories, anything by Raymond E. Feist and Tamora Pierce.

One amazing thing I've done is camp on the beach in northern Scotland on midsummer's day. I watched as the sun just dipped below the horizon to rise again.
