About Me

I'm a new user. I saw every one wrote here Current mission and Philosophy...but I didn't see any templates in my app so...here it is.

I'm a 100% made in China. Born, grew up, educated in China, but haven't been living in the country for years so far.

I like daydreaming. Inspired by a Chinese female writer, I went to eastern Africa after uni for over one year, working and traveling. Touched by a novel about Spb, I went to Russia😝

Love traveling for sure. Traveled along Silk Road in northwestern China alone. Safari and adventured in Tanzania, Kenya and Ethiopia. Wild, dangerous things excite me.

The idea of settling down just freaks me out. I get bored very easily, might because I'm just a boring person (hope not so😂). Learning English might be the only one thing I've persisted in for years.

Got a wierd sense of humor.

After some very unpleasant experience, I decide to write here a note as my friend did:
I HATE and will fight against all sorts of stereotypes, racism, sexism, homophobia, etc.
I don't want to be rude or get in any fight when I just want to enjoy traveling or hang out here.
So if u have some interesting different ideas, pls keep them to yourself and don't bring them up in any form.
At least know how to stop when someone tell u they are offended by u, like a normal human being do.
(But of course I know, writing it here would just make some really stupid assholes eager to provoke and try to argue more to justify their ideas. ))

Most ppl I met on CS are super nice and genuine communicators, below are just for the tiny group of SF folks.

** glad to share traveling stories and cultural stuff, but you should be able to see people as individuals and the world with curiosity and humbleness, but not only nationalities and races. **

Ok to stay gregarious:

CURRENT MISSION
Trying to explore and understand the world and myself, as much as I can.
And then to love, as hard as I can.

During gap years before master's degree now, I intended to take adventures in not so mainstream places in the world.

And working on my depression. (Yeah I'm not ashamed of it now😜) It is a major drive and part of my life.

PHILOSOPHY
I know nothing.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

To meet new interesting people. It's really hard to make friends or find some one to hangout with in a non English speaking country.

To "get out of my comfort zone" and try to socialize. I was not so comfortable in a group of people who I don't know. Now I actively attend to the events, meeting ppl from different countries and cultures and talking about all sorts of things. Tell me when I seem too anxious or desperate pls😂

For traveling, I usually travel alone but every time I meet awesome travelers during the trip from different places around the world, and always get inspired a lot.

Music, Movies, and Books

Listen to random musics, bad at names of songs, singers, bands, categories. Or I just don't know much about music😂 but I have a favorite Chinese singer, Wang Leehom. And I love some Jazz.

Movies:
I love drama, crime stories, stories about the complexity of humanity.
Anti action, science fiction, superheroes and so on.
Watched tons of English/ American series, that's basically how I learned English.

Books:
I have to be honest that I haven't read much since undergrad. Reading was like a way to de-stress.
I read various kinds of books. In general, I prefer those with a unique perspective of ordinary lives. Eg. Six Chapters of a Floating Life(Chinese) and Fragments(Japanese)
I like Chinese classic/ ancient literature, especially poems.
Favorite: Story of a Stone(Chinese)
