About Me

ABOUT ME

If you asked my friends, they would probably tell you something completely different to what I would tell you, but...I'm an adventurous person who loves travelling and, if I could, I would probably go all over the world! I love meeting new people, trying new things and discovering new cultures. One friend has said that I am full of pointless knowledge so if you need a random fact about something obscure, I'm probably the best person to ask.

PHILOSOPHY

The more you discover about the world around you, the more you discover about yourself. You'll never know if you like something, or not, unless you try it first.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I am willing and able to host anyone who is visiting Lleida.

Interests

I love learning new things, however random they are (hence being full of pointless knowledge, I guess)! I like to do crosswords (in English and Spanish). I spend a lot of time writing, especially poems. I love quizzes and every time I visit my Dad, in Manchester, we go to a pub quiz! I like listening to music, especially to songs which have meaningful lyrics. If I had the time and money, I would probably be a member of so many different clubs and societies because there are so many things that I'd like to try before I lose the chance.

Music, Movies, and Books

I love all books by Cecelia Aherne; I like to read biographies of people who have lived interesting lives; One of my favourite books is 'Love from Nancy' which is a collection of letters which Nancy Mitford wrote in her lifetime (it actually affected me in a big way!); I like to read poetry and plays made for the theatre. I'm currently reading the series, 'A Song of Ice and Fire' and am on the fourth book.

I couldn't possibly list all the music I like as I have such an eclectic taste. I grew up listening to all kinds of different music as each member of my family listened to one particular genre (I'm the youngest) and this shaped my taste in music. I tend to listen to songs which have lyrics that I feel reflect personal moments in my life.

Listing my favourite films is also a challenge because there are so many brilliant films. A select few would be Die Hard; Dangerous Minds; The Color Purple; Mary Poppins (I practically grew up watching that film); Jumping Jack Flash...the list is endless

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I've seen and done many amazing things in my twenty-five years but I find that it's the small, everyday occurrences which really make me think about things in a different perspective. 'Amazing' means different things to different people so it all depends really on what the word means to you, personally.
