我为什么加入 Couchsurfing

One of the best parts about traveling (and life in general) is who you connect with during the journey and learning about what it is like to live as a local. My favorite part is exchanging experiences with people and getting to know them. I really love meeting others who are also excited about life, who just want to take in as much as they can about the world.

I love to travel, but don't travel nearly enough. I'm hoping interacting with other avid travelers of CS will help lead and inspire me to where I should go next.

Unfortunately, I am currently not able to host. I live with housemates who are not comfortable with hosting new people. However, If you are visiting the DC area, I am happy to join travelers in conversation and activities. I will also help guide people to the best local secrets when the opportunity comes :)

As a guest, I am very easy going. All I really need is a warm and safe place to sleep after a day of exploring your awesome town or city. But of course, I'm most excited about learning something new or interesting from my host! I want to hear about your favorite restaurants and places to visit in your hometown. When at your place, I will always clean up after myself, keep my things out of your way, and keep your home clean.

Really enjoy listening to music of almost all genres! However, some of my more favorable bands and artists are Purity Ring, Grimes, Lorde, Lana Del Ray, Sia, Julie Andrews, Jackie Evancho, Andrea Bocelli, etc.

Don't even get me started on film! I am passionate about discussing and dissecting films. I find learning about what films are most impactful and influential on individuals just as fascinating. A few of my personal top favorites are Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, Titanic, Pixar Movies, Drive, Her, Cinderella (2015), etc.

I really enjoy reading fiction and Freakonomics :)

This may sound really random... but I can teach you how to sew!
I've learned that many people don't even know the basics of hand sewing. It is a great, practical and easy skill. I can teach you how to securely sew that button you've been missing from your favorite pea coat you used to wear all the time but now sits forever alone in your closet till you mend it.
