About Me

Hi all :-)

I'm an urban planner working in Paris. Also I want to improve my languages skills, I always start to learn something, get busy, and forget what I learnt before...

I like to explore new cities, drink reasonably in pubs (usually good ciders and beers), watch TV shows. I love reading (I passed the equivalent of English A-Levels in literature). What else... I love eating. First thing I do in a new city is trying local food. I grew up in a very cosmopolite city, so I'm quite open to new cultures.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

What mostly makes a country interesting is the people living there. That's why I am here.

Unfortunately, I can't really host people right now. Hopefully I'll be able to do it later.

Music, Movies, and Books

Nina Simone, Miles Davis, Django Reinhardt, Billie Holiday, Bob Dylan, Buena Vista Social Club, David Bowie, Glenn Miller, Jack Johnson, Johnny Cash, Queen, sometimes The Beatles, Jurassic 5, Nick Drake, Nova Tunes albums, Serge Gainsbourg, Tom Waits, Amy Winehouse, Wax Tailor, Toto, The Postmodern Jukebox...

Last movie I have seen is "The Tragedy of Man" from Marcell Jankovics. Honestly, I have so many movies and books I love, it's really difficult to pick something up :-) One of the books which comes up automatically in my mind is Down in and out in Paris and London from George Orwell. At this moment I am really into South American literature.

Breaking Bad, The Thick of It, The Shield, The Wire, House of Cards, Doctor Who, Fargo, Oz, Black Mirror, Veep, Rectify, Futurama....

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I can't really say that I have ever done something truly amazing. However, I went hiking in Ireland with friends, and we ended up in front of a gigantic bonfire in the center of (London)Derry. It was truly impressive.

Oh. Maybe in Hungary actually. I went to visit Kékestető in April, and for an unknown reason it started to snow a lot, and I was only wearing a jumper... haha. Strangely enough, it was very warm in Budapest. I guess the amazing part of this event is that I survived in the cold (less than 0 degrees) with only a jumper!

I could help you with your French, share French cooking recipes, show you my favourite places in Paris.
