ABOUT ME

I love to travel and not so surprisingly, meet new people! I've just finished my degree at the University of Iowa, and have recently relocated to Des Moines IA where I coordinate the Younger American Poets Reading series. During this period of great adjustment, I am looking forward to both exploring a new place AND helping surfers do the same. It my spare time I'm up for almost anything--usually the activities are accompanied by frequent stops for coffee!

I traveled Shanghai for the first time in 2009 & will be chasing down that feeling for the rest of my life.

I've been trying, with difficulty, to learn Cantonese. I love languages and unusual instruments. I play piano and have been working at the guitar for what feels like forever!
