To faciliate others' travel enjoyment as we would have our travel enjoyment faciliated by others.

ABOUT ME

Tom and Pat are borderline old people (61 and 57 and counting), but are remarkably immature at times. We have lived in Spain (twice) and have traveled to Europe, Canada, and Mexico. Tom was a Peace Corps Volunteer in Niger, West Africa (1973-1975). Tom was a children's librarian in a public library and Pat is a reference librarian in a university library.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

We've couchsurfed once and hosted about a dozen times.

Interests

Pat likes to bake. We garden in our backyard. We occasionally ride our bikes (we've made two bike trips--one in Europe and one on Prince Edward Island). We also like hanging out with our elderly dog, Dudley, and our puppy, Otis, and discussing books and movies.

Music, Movies, and Books

We like all three! Our tastes run the gamut, but in general, we enjoy both funny and serious movies, music of all kinds (but especially African and other world music), and mostly non-fiction books.

Teach, Learn, Share

Cooking and bread-making; we are both interested in improving our foreign languages skills, especially Spanish, Portuguese, Italian, and French, and are happy to help guests with their English (we have both taught English as a second language).
