I am an art and film graduate, i work as a photographer.

I'd like to think i'm a nice, rather quiet girl with a bit of a sarcastic edge but generally fun loving and kind. I make mistakes but i'm only human ;) looking forward to meet open minded and gentle people to learn from and exchange experiences.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

have you seen "pay it forward" with Kevin Spacey? this term is used to describe the concept of a good turn being repaid by having it done to others instead, in other words, "You might never pay back; but you can always pay forward", that´s what my friend, first couch surfer i met taught me about the community. Its basicly about passing a good energy: someone was good to you at the edge of the world, you´re good to someone else when you host him at your home, at least that´s my idea of it.

Interests

Photography. I take pictures all the time. i just feel this urge to take pictures and i fallow. I need some sort of record of whatever amazing is happening around me. It's a lot like hunting. I'm afraid it's irredeemable.

Jewish and Israeli culture/history as well as polish-jewish/polish-israeli contemporary relations. Its a big part of my life. I work with israelis, i learn hebrew, visit Israel every year, volunteer/work at the Jewish Culture festival in Krakow etc. I’m not jewish, but due to my job and interest you’ll find me more often in the synagoge than in the church.

i’m not into sports much, especially team sports, except volleyball i guess. I like bowling, paintball, skiing.

Music, Movies, and Books

When asked about my favourite music i use to handle over my i-pod to whoever asked so they could get the idea of how diverse and huge the pool of my favourites is. You can find me listening to Leonard Cohen and dancing to Lady Gaga. Also, i tend to have favourite songs rather than favourite artists, yet some names keep on showing more often than others: Andrew Bird, Leonard Cohen, Lord Huron, Coldplay, Joan Baez, Red Hot Chili Peppers...

As for movies, let me put it this way: i could watch Forrest Gump over and over again. If i switch on TV and they're playing Memories of Geisha i won't leave until the ending. I felt asleep watching Quantum of Solace . I regret paying to watch 300, I am legend and Cloud Atlas. I didn't see a single Twilight movie, I'm not gonna see the newest Star Wars not to mention any Spiderman/ Batman/Superman/Place any hero's name in here that is going to be released in the future.. you get the idea? :)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I've hitchhiked from my home town of Krakow to the south of France and back. Was amazing.
