About Me
CURRENT MISSION
I like being the ambassadress of the Filipinos to wanderers from all over the world :) I like showing how modern, diverse, fun, and open-minded locals can be.
ABOUT ME
Happily backpacking about - discovering new sights, sounds, words, moves, tastes, personalities. I love anything and everything about travel - the drives, the dives, the swims, the hikes, the flights, the hassles, the serendipitous moments, the great bargains, the drunkenness, the randomness, the completed itineraries, the sleepless nights, the new cultures, the same beliefs, the languages, the independence.
PHILOSOPHY
Things happen for a reason.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
Been hosting surfers at my flat, but I also love hitting people up for drinks, food, partying, jamming, dancing, chilling out, or just hanging out. Been surfing as well, and it's just as fun!
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I've hosted quite a few surfers already, some from requests and some just from random circumstances :) I've always met up with travelers from a different travel forum and I like bringing people around as a local, so I do the same here in CS.

- diving around amazing things like massive manta rays, hammerheads, whalesharks, sea lions; diving the cenotes of Mexico and between 2 continental plates in Silfra
- got swept away by the currents of the Messina Strait in Sicily and survived to tell the story
- seeing a humpback whale, a pair of juvenile sperm whales, and a pod of dolphins on the way to a dive safari in Mindoro, Philippines
- getting my footage included in Coldplay's music video for "Amazing Day" :D
Teach, Learn, Share
I try to learn the language basics of countries I visit after seeing how much warmer locals become when you don't start off with asking them whether or not they spoke English ;) Given that, I'd also be happy to share basic lessons on my native tongue – Filipino – or even some of the essential basics I know of Spanish, French, Mandarin, German, Japanese, and Italian :) I play the guitar, a bit of the ukelele, and the "kahon" (box percussion). It's always fun jamming with my guests! If I'm free on weekends, I can take you out to the beach for diving, just chilling, or even just stay in town for some of the best Filipino food :)
What I Can Share with Hosts
I'm happy to cook some of my signature dishes while staying with my hosts! Most of them are Filipino food, of course, but I also make a pretty hearty lamb stew and mushroom soup! :D I’m also happy to jam with a guitar, ukulele, or kahon!
