About Me

I skipped the "get offended in 2015" craze. I would never judge a person on gender, sexuality, race, etc. because I'm not a dickhead, but I'm also able to laugh at just about anything!

Even if life wasn't too short to be sad, offended, frustrated, mad, etc., I still wouldn't make a habit of it. Let's laugh, have fun, brush the shit off our shoulders before it stacks up and hits the fan, ya know?

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I discovered the Hitlist app and decided that I'd like to just fly around and see the country one or two weekends a month for a while. I'd also love to meet people coming towards the northwest doing similar at some point.

The idea of couchsurfing is awesome to me because it gives one the ability to travel alone and have a built-in buddy to go do shit with. That's really a cool idea!

Interests

I love music, and play my basses quite a bit. If I visit you, I'd love to visit a music store! If you visit me, maybe you can come watch a show!

I'm also very into fitness, and have recently leaned much more towards power lifting. The day just seems a lot lighter to handle after picking up super heavy shit all morning!

Music, Movies, and Books

You can find me drawing inspiration from Steve Harris one moment, and shredding some rad Marty Friedman air guitar the next! Though I'm just as likely to be bumping eurodance shit while working away. I just love music.

If you love Grandma's Boy and Talladega Nights, you probably have a special place in my heart. If you like Trailer Park Boys, then we're probably best friends.

"Rework" is the best book I've ever read, "Apathy and Other Small Victories" is the most amusing, and "Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep" is my favorite. I'm a huge Sherlock Holmes lover, and my current in progress book is "Zero to One."

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

It feels like my amazing things are just spur of the moment. One that came to mind was age 18, 10:00pm a buddy and I joked about just hopping in the car and driving down the coast from Seattle to the Bay Area. We left 10 minutes later. That will be with me forever!

Teach, Learn, Share

Accepting that we can learn something from anyone has been one of the most profoundly impactful things in my life.

The one thing I can really teach you is algebra. Wait, no. I mean, yes, I can, but that's not what I meant to say.

What I meant to say, as somebody always moving forward and as ambitious and driven as me, I like to think I can teach people how to slow down and appreciate the little things. A wise person once said, someday those will be the big things.

What I Can Share with Hosts

A laugh, a story, and hopefully an epiphany. I can share my company, which is that of someone truly striving to be a great person and share the enjoyment of life with those around me.
