About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To travel and enjoy life to the fullest

ABOUT ME

Hello folks! I am a charismatic, eccentric, and enjoy life type of guy. I love to travel, try new foods, and experience different cultures.

I recently moved from Austin to the Asheville area and I'm hoping to do some travelling in the near future.

PHILOSOPHY

Live and let live, don't pass judgement, be compassionate, humble, but not a pushover! Communication over confrontation, cooperation over competition, and sustainability over exploitation!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Well, this will be my first time participating and I am very excited. I hope to find someone cool in Northern Cali to crib up with, and then later hopefully in the DC area.

I'm finally settled in my new pad in the Smokie Mountains so if anyone wants to couch surf I have a couch/bed for ya!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

This is my first experience but I have heard nothing but great things from friends who have participated.

Interests

I love the outdoors, cool ass people, politics, good vittles, and anything out of the ordinary or outside the box!

Music, Movies, and Books

Anything Noam Chomsky, Naomi Klein, flicks with Denzel Washington, Matthew Mcconaughey, documentaries, drama flicks, hip hop, rock, and anything I may find interesting.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I've backpacked through Mexico, Guatemala, and Belize. I was the MVP of the 97 Great Mills Hornets State Championship Game in baseball. I once hitch hiked from San Diego, CA to Tuscan, AZ to meet Dr. Cornel West. I ended up on the stage with him after I told him that I hitched hiked to get there. Afterwards he gave me money to catch a bus back!

Teach, Learn, Share

I use to work for the Veterans Benefits Administration and I know the Claims process and laws inside and out. I would love to come across some veterans who may need some help with a claim.

I also have a background in History and Conflict Resolution which means I am a great writer, editor, communicator, and problem solver. I also have a little experience in the Non Profit sector in relation to fundraising and incorporating as a 501 c 3.

I would love to learn to play an instrument such as the guitar or drums. I would also love to learn more about music production and video editing.

What I Can Share with Hosts

My crib, great times, and great food!
