About Me
Hey there!
I'm Wesly, 33 years old and born and raised in Belgium. Right now I'm living in Leuven. Since I've been back from my first long distance solo cycling trip, I've been missing nature and adventure a lot. So I decided to go on a new adventure. This time I'll be walking across Belgium for a month. On the 6th of July I'll start with this 655 km journey from Nieuwpoort to Arlon. People are welcome to join me for a day or more. I've created a Facebook event "Samen dwars door België" and I'll be sharing about it on Instagram (@verbindingstochten). If you would like to join me, please reach out.
So I'm taking my tent with me and planning to camp along the way. Since the weather forcast doesn't look so good, I hope to be able to sometimes take a hot shower, put my tent in a garden or even sleep inside for a night after a long day walking. If you have the possibility to host me for a night, that would be great.
I know I'm not cycling right now, but I've had some amazing experiences through Warmshowers already. This is why I'd love to see if I could use it as a hiker also.
I'm super excited about this adventure and curious what it will be like to discover my own country by foot. I hope our paths may cross and that we can share some great stories.
I will travel solo or with one other person (if someone joins me walking), do not smoke and can cook in return for your hospitality.
I hope to see you soon!
Wesly
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I think couchsurfing is a great way to meet fellow travellers. It gives you the opportunity to dive deep into new cultures and makes it easier to connect with the locals. For me travelling is really about going with the flow, meeting new people along the way and sharing stories with each other.
Right now I haven't had the possibility to host yet. But from the moment I'll get back home I'm planning to open up my space for fellow travellers. I've experienced so much kindness along the way already and I'd love to give something back.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Cycling and walking the camino from Belgium to Santiago de Compostela - 2023. This was truly the best moment of my life and I'd love to tell you more about it if you're interested.
Teach, Learn, Share
I could teach you some yoga, meditation techniques, talking Dutch or some cooking.
I would love to improve my French. Learn Spanish, playing the drums and getting to know more about permaculture and how to live self sustainable.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I believe we are all on a journey, going from one place to another, learning from each other. So I could share my story and I'm happy to hear yours! And if you are free, you can always join me for a day or so on my walk through Belgium.
