ABOUT ME

I'm 25 years old, but age is a state of mind. I enjoy the arts (music in particular), (cooking) food, people, playing sports, history, reading, making fun of the news, current events, reflection and meditation in the most liberal sense imaginable, (wo)men, kids, animals, beer, nature, and laughing, just to shoot off a short list.

PHILOSOPHY

The rules are there are no rules. Pop! Love is the only thing that's gonna save us. Kablamo. What's written was, what isn't will be, so the NOW we share presents itself as the utmost priority. Boomshakalaka!

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I provide good, clean fun and I go with the flow. I also shoot off clichès and quips whenever they're applicable. I'm impulsive, but that's a good thing, right?

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

My parents always let friends and fam crash at our place when I was growing up, and I always opened my doors to friends and friends of friends once I copped my own pad, so this whole thing is pretty familiar to me, except now I'm part of this huge electronic database dedicated to it. Cool.

Interessi

I'm a classically-trained singer, an avid athlete, and I cut some mean rug. I enjoy languages (only fluent in Spanish), cooking, and psychology. I love literature, the arts, and anything else that inspires.

Musica, film e libri

I'm gonna say it: I love the Zeitgeist movies! I also saw the movie Ed Wood with my pops while we were travelling ineth south of Chile, and that flick cracked me up. Check it out. As far as music goes, I was a hip-hop fanatic for all of high school and college, but now my tastes are expanding to pretty much anything. From classical to jazz, indie to metal, it all gravy, baby! My favorite group at the moment is The Roots from Philadelphia. They've got it all: longevity, innovation, and style. Books: I've been real hip to sci-fi lately (I just finished Dune and Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep?). I also recently read Allende's House of Spirits in its original Spanish version, which was a nice challenge.

I visited Macchu Picchu and Wayna Picchu recently, and it was one of the most spiritual and emotional experiences of my entire life. Amazing energy.

Insegna, impara, condividi

Well, advantage CouchSurfing! Good stuff. Hmmm, welllllll... teaching English for the past while has made me quite the guru in teaching phonology, semantics and whatnot. I also like teaching vocal technique, guitar and charango (although I'm not and expert, I can share what I know), and other random stuff, like some culinary odds n' ends, education, and whatever else comes up in a given exchange. I wanna learn Mandarin Chinese!
