Music, Movies, and Books
Music: the Weakerthans, the Beatles, Sublime, Bob Marley, Wyclef Jean, Billy Joel, Willie Nelson, Dave Matthews Band, Pink, Eminem, Kenny Williams Jr., and pretty much anything else.
Books: Harry Potter, The DaVinci Code, Angels & Demons, Gabriel Garcia Marquez, any memoirs, John Grisham, Octavio Paz...
Movies: Fight Club, Forrest Gump, The Blues Brothers, stupid comedies, "thinking man's movies."
TV: Arrested Development, Weeds, Seinfeld, The Simpsons, The Joy of Painting with Bob Ross, Family Guy, The Sopranos, It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia, Pysch... Although we have to say that we don't actually have TV at our house (we have the apparatus, but no cable, satellite, channels, etc.) - we don't want to misrepresent ourselves.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Chris: I've been to a sweet cheese factory in Switzerland - you never saw such Appenzeller!
Becky: I hiked up to the top of a volcano, and since it was a clear night, I could just barely see something red and glowing inside. I would have been scared if not for the fact that I'd been drinking Pájaro Azul.
Teach, Learn, Share
If you stay with us, you could potentially learn about computers and electronics, Spanish, cooking, sourdough bread, and how to make mozzarella cheese. You might also go on a mushroom walk, or possibly visit something of national importance.
