About Me

ABOUT ME

Please read at least my couch information before sending a request!

ALL about me? I don't know ALL about me, the more time passes the more things I discover about me. I can tell you some things though:

I am a lazy person. I don't like to work, but I do like to create and experience.

I am a cheap person. I hate to spend money on things I do not need so I can give it to someone else who needs it more.

I am a dreamer. I dream about being awake.

I am analytical. I fool myself in ways that are rational and logically correct.

I am closed-minded. I close my mind to violent, bad, false or unimportant things.

I am open-minded. I apreciate it when someone shows me how red the colour green can be.

I am funny. Even when I am the only one who understands the joke.

I am serious. Mostly about things that are not serious.

I am smart. Smart enough to say "I don't know".

I am always right(-handed).

I am modest. Too modest to list all my qualities.

I am selfish. I use the word "I" a lot when someone asks me to talk about myself.

PHILOSOPHY

Just some quotes that go deep:

Everything should be as simple as it is, but not simpler. - Albert Einstein

A person who never made a mistake never tried anything new. - Albert Einstein

A rich man is not someone who has many posessions, but a man who has much to offer. - I don't know

If you want to make this world a better place, you have to start at your place. - Cal from Munich

Life is what happens to you while you're busy making other plans. - John Lennon

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

When I can, I host people and try to be helpful.

about References: I will generally leave a reference for people I host or that host me. I also give more references for people that are new on CS and need them to show they can be trusted.

Otherwise I will usually send a friend request so that we can stay in touch.

Because I meet LOTS of people on CS I sometimes forget or am late with these things. Please do not be upset and if I should forget and a ref is really important to you then a simple reminder should be enough.

I myself do not take references too seriously. The time I spent and what I learn from you matters most to me. So I don't a mind late or no reference if from my experience with you I feel that I can trust you.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

can't get enough

Interests

Travelling - who would've thought!

Hiking in the mountains - but without the really difficult or extreme stuff.

Food and drink - I love strange, unique, interesting and just good food and drink.

Computers - and most importantly what can be done with them when they are not useless.

Normal people - I don't care much about stars, wealthy people, ultra-cool and trendy people or very important people. I find normal people have powerful stories to tell if you are interested in listening to them.

Culture - whatever that is.

Music, Movies, and Books

I listen to a lot of music.

Right now a lot of classical.
At one point I was into into african music and nordic music. Ever heard of Tinariwen, Rokia Traore, Amadou et Miriam? No, then maybe Garmarna, Hagalaz' Runedance, Neun Welten, Väsen?
I know! Satie, Mozart, Beethoven, Tchaikovski, Bach must ring a bell!
What, not even that? Come on, what do you listen to then? Techno?

Movies: I hardly watch movies lately , cause good movies are very rare. I love romanian cinema though and can show you some of our better ones.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

1. Survived to this day.
2. The Carpathian mountains in Romania.
3. The Atlas mountains in Morocco.
4. The beaches in Essaouira, Morocco
5. The touaregs in Mauritania and Timbbuktu, Mali
6. The desert in West-Africa.
7. Dogon Country in Mali.
8. Berlin, Germany.

and I could go on..
