ABOUT ME
A few years ago when I first started couchsurfing, i was adventurous and lost in life. Now that I have decided on a career in medicine, and finished my first year of school at CU Denver, my opportunities to cut loose are running thin. However, Ive reached a point where I was able to run away from it all for a couple of months and couchsurfing is the finest way to experience a city and create a memorable travel experience.
PHILOSOPHY
(2008) - better to be a lean moorhen on a pond than a fat sparrow in a cage.
(2011) - philosophy isnt a real profession. It's just a title to write on your government benefits application form. (cough cough, lucas)
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
In 2008, I was new to this couchsurfing concept, but I had a group of friends who flew into the country and we couchsurfed around the western US and into Mexico for 5 weeks. Couchsurfing added to our adventures and gave us all some friends worth keeping. We recruited a new CSer in SF, and brought another one along with us for a stretch in Mexico (both for her strength of character and strength of CS profile).
Currently, my German friend and philosopher, Lucas, had such a good time on our first CS roadtrip in the US that he was willing to join me for a Central European round 2. We are a fun-loving duo and tell stories, cook, sing, and awkwardly dance. We love meeting interesting people with interesting stories, and will even act interested if this is not the case.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
sprayed a grizzly bear in his hungry eyes with bear spray.
Teach, Learn, Share
teach? I guess I could describe what life growing up in small town colorado is like. I know the art of catching fish or lighting a nice campfire to cook them on. I can lecture on science, and fill the air with nonsense about politics, economics, or literature. I can show a person how to whistle using their hands and maybe (if they're lucky) show them a card trick or something. sounds tempting, right?
