I'm originally from Boston, MA. I've been living the dream in Hollywood, CA since 2010, working as a researcher and evaluator for federal programs at a non-profit medical center..

I love Boston, and LA is great too. But I love to travel and visit places - it opens one's eyes to see the world, have new experiences, and change for the better.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I've couchsurfed in Vienna and Stockholm before, and loved meeting people and being taken around the city by people with the desire to just be a good host.

Books - favorite author is Paulo Coelho. The Alchemist and Eleven Minutes are both books that have changed how I see the world and people, and my relationship with both.

I went to Seattle on my own and explored the city. I went completely off the grid and left everything I ha behind for one week. It was a giant risk that ha forever changed me, and I'm so happy I did it.

If you want to bring water past TSA in the airport, you should freeze the water in your bottle AND THEN bring it through security. Ice isn't a liquid so it's legal. Trust me
