About Me

Hey, everyone!
I am a 24 year-old who graduated from English Philology. I love sharing funny stories and enjoy to spend my time having fun and laughing with people. I am experienced enough in free camping, hitchiking and hiking so whenever I have free time, I set off a trip! I am mad keen on every kind of animal and I have a particular interest in rodents. I am fascinated by world history, mythology, etymology, animals and languages. I teach languages and give Greek mythology workshops!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I joined Couchsurfing when I was an Erasmus student in Poland. I have came across excellent hosts and had a great time with friends I have met through Couchsurfing in many countries and cities so as soon as I returned to my country, I became a host and accomodated couple of travellers who had a difficulty to find a place due to the pandemic.

Music, Movies, and Books

I listen to real instrument-based songs (yes, I don't listen to contemporary pop music). Most of the time I prefer rock music: Anatolian (my passion), progressive, psychedelic, and hard, also I listen heavy metal, power metal, and NWOBHM. I must admit that my interest in rebetiko (traditional greek songs with traditional instruments) has increased a lot since I came to Greece, and I try to participate in rebetiko concerts that take place in Thessaloniki as much as I can.

From movies, I love the irrational, mystical ones or the ones based on historical events. I rarely watch a new movie. I usually watch the movies I love again and every time I watch it, I enjoy it like I've never seen it before.

In terms of books, fantasy and mythological books are my favorites (have a particular interest in Greek mythology). I also love to read about history and I can say that I prefer books about WWI and WWII.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

In 2012, I had rafting when I was in the nature camp, which lasted 13 km in Koprulu Canyon, Antalya, Turkey.

I have been in Nightwish concert in Kraków on November 2018 (pushed a lot my financial limits, and suffered later on) and it was one of the greatest night of my entire life. (so definitely worth it)

I tried to climb/hike to the summit of mt. Olympus in Greece twice but weather conditions did disallow everything, hopefully I will be climbing to top in 2022 June.

Teach, Learn, Share

Since I studied philology, I am into the etymology, structure, and cultural differences of languages as well as history.

What I Can Share with Hosts

It is not in all likelihood that I can host you since I have been living in a tiny house with my family. We go for a walk around the city and grab a beer.
