ABOUT ME

I am currently leaving a job with the National Park Service. I have lived all over the US and love to travel here and abroad. I have worked for conservation organizations including National Geographic and the Nature Conservancy and am really passionate about natural resources. I love being in the wilderness but also don't mind the hustle and bustle of the city and all the interesting things to do in them. I just moved from Boston and I am currently living in Boulder City, NV. Every place has its own beauty and it is up to all of us as citizens of a shared planet to embrace it.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I love to host and to surf. I have been a little inactive for a while but now that I am back out west I am looking to surf more and host more now that I have a bigger space.

I love this community and feel very blessed to live in a time where this is possible.

Interests

I am interested in everything, seriously I am up for whatever. That doesn't mean that I do not have dislikes (e.g. I don't like olives with the pits still inside or being incredibly cold) it just means that I am pretty much open to everything. I like camping, dancing, swimming, museums, sunrise and sunset. I love great conversation, food and good banter. I have tendency to giggle to much. I can give a hard time as much as I can take it too. I have never had a couchsurfing experience that I didn't love and I hope that sticks!

Music, Movies, and Books

There are tons of books that I love but this category could be unending so I will just say that the most influential book of my life was Robinson Crusoe. One of my favorite movies is the Fifth Element. It's to much pressure to sum up my music tastes but essentially everything. (I hate most Ska and Irish music can sometimes be annoying).

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

1)Lava pouring out of a Volcano, Kilauea Hawaii
2)Full Rainbow over the Atchafalaya Swamp with 100's of rare birds including Roseatte Spoonbills and Woodstorks flying across the sky, Lousiana
3)Watching Rams climb mountains with there babies in the desert, Mojave, Nevada.
4) Hike the Grand Canyon Rim to Rim
5) Be a wildland firefighter.

More details could be filled in with all these stories. As I get older I realize that moments are filled in with all the amazing things in between and noticing how special all those times are very important to me as well.

Teach, Learn, Share

All types. I really believe that you can learn from everyone. Even if it is seemingly negative like what not to be. I love people and the interactions that we share can never be an accident and are always a blessing.
