ABOUT ME

I suppose I'll add more "about me" once I can think of utterly fascinating things to write about myself. You see, I don't think writing about myself is all that interesting. Maybe writing about myself defeats the purpose of couchsurfing.

I couchsurf because I want to know more about other people and be exposed to new cultures. Of course given that mission I should write about myself because perhaps other couchsurfers want to meet interesting people from different cultures as well.

Hence if I don't write about myself I would be depriving the masses of the possibility of finding me to be a remotely interesting and culturally unique person. Head spinning yet? Well, without further ado, the basics:

I'm a American ... and I still wonder as to whether I'm okay with my national identity or not. I love traveling and experiencing new cultures. I often lug around an enormous camera when I travel. I'm a vegetarian, but I love sushi, so I'm technically a full vegetarian/ occasional pescatarian.

I grew up as the oldest child in a large family, so I love children. I think I get along better with young children than I do adults.

I like studying Arabic and my dream at the moment is to travel to Hong Kong, Thailand, India, and Japan. A trip to Cyprus and Turkey might occur in the near future as well.

I am always happy to show CSers around Amman and Madaba - I also try to CS whenever I travel. I have never been hosted before, so hopefully this Christmas I can surf someone's couch!

Interests

I love (obviously) to travel, but I also enjoy photography and visual art. I'm a fan of movies in general, especially movies in foreign languages. Languages are cool. In the future I either want to study Farsi, Urdi, or Chinese to supplement my Arabic.
