About Me

CURRENT MISSION

open my mind, elevate my existence, meet beautiful people and recognize their brilliance

ABOUT ME

I am perpetually travelling, trying to learn as much as possible, trying to get better at making connections, recognizing my fears and then confronting them directly rather than passive aggressively. Trying to do better, always better. Trying to look to the positive and not let the negative bum me out. I'm trying to understand how I can go about being who I want to be. It's tough. I don't think it should be, but it is. I'm trying to open up. Trying not to let my past define me. Trying to live an ideal version of myself.

PHILOSOPHY

Good attracts good, negative attractives negative, mediocre attracts mediocre.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Mostly, I like to think that I participate in subtle ways, but truly I don't participate as much as I know I ought to.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Never surfed or hosted, though I have sent and responded to a few messages. Pretty weak, I know.

Interests

Travel, history, human interaction with nature, and human interaction with humans, art, outdoorsy things, just being in nature, thinking about it, interacting with it, wondering why things are the way they are and what I can do about it, reading, listening to music, breathing, meditating, yoga,

Music, Movies, and Books

Silver Linings Playbook, Beasts of the Southern Wild, snowboard movies, Jitterbug Perfume, Germinal, Undaunted Courage, autobiographies of great people, J.D. McPherson, Black Keys, just scratching the surface here really.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I've been fortunate to travel to some pretty great places and come across some pretty cool people. Unfortunately, I must confess my life has lacked AMAZING other than brilliance and genius of nature. In my life, I have tended too often towards the middle road, avoiding extremes in order to protect against failure, or disappointment. I'm trying to open up, but still have to live within the constraints of reality.
