About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Living,Working, and Saving for our Next Adventure

ABOUT ME

We're back from our year on the road in our VW, and ready to host.

Robby-I'm a travel fanatic and a bit of an experience junkie. I met another just like me, only much more cute. We hit it off and have been exploring life's adventures ever since.

My favorite thing to do is cook. I love to learn new recipes and try new styles of cooking. On our trip to the South-West and South Eastern States, I hope to pick up a few tricks and recipes to bring back to my kitchen at home.
Favorites include Indian, Thai, Vietnamese, Mexican, Italian and anything grilled and/or smoked in a barbecue.

Sheri- I love to experience the world around me, whether its close or far from home. I enjoy the energy of meeting new people and finding out what they are about. When I'm working I'm an educator who works with students with Autism, their schools, and their families. I also spend a great deal of my time outdoors, at the yoga studio, playing guitar and playing and coaching sports. Oh and eating what Robby cooks. :) (Although I do stay away from red meat, pork, and milk products.)

PHILOSOPHY

Help people who need it, build community, trust and friendship.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

We have 2 couches, a spare bedroom, an inflatable bed, food, internet, shower and laundry... no TV though.

We're close to the airport, along a bus route and flexible and accommodating to the needs of our guests.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Someone should do a documentary on Couch Surfing. Its one of the best ways to reconnect with the spirit of humanity and to brush up on your 'gut feeling'... Welcoming someone into your home and opening up your personal domain has a way of removing barriers and allowing people to connect in ways that have seemingly become a lost art. The more people we meet, the more friends we feel we are making, and leave hoping to be able to open our home to them someday as well.

Interests

Visiting local markets, farmers markets, antique shops, outdoor activities, geocaching, Yoga, Pilates, kayaking, rafting, adventure sports, cycling, snowshoeing, skiing... cooking, playing guitar, learning new instruments... dancing (any type so far) and meeting new people.
