About Me

A few of my characteristics:
I'm happy and positive when it comes to pretty much everything, but not in a naive way.

I'm quite curious. I'm not particular into gossip and stuff like that but, I don't know, I like knowing stuff. If there is something I want to know I'll figure it out, somehow. And I guess that's why I like discussing things and hear other folks point of view. I might not share your opinion but I'm interested in knowing what you think and why.

I'm a night owl. Love staying up late and sleeping in but I also like to try to make the most of my days.

I always long for the ocean and a dip in the sea is one of my favorite things to do.

THINGS THAT BRING ME JOY
🎶 The way a really good concert feels in your body and soul

When a cat jumps up and lay down in my lap

Greeting dogs in the neighborhood

Singing in a Gospel choir or in the audience of the Malmö FF football team

Cooking and eating good food 🍝and wine 🍷

ME AS A TRAVELLER
Nowadays I mainly use couchsurfing to find fellow travellers when I'm out traveling myself or locals that want to show me around or give me some advice about their hidden gems.

ME AS A HOST
I tend to be picky with who I host nowadays. Mainly because I have a highly demanding job and a big social circle at home so I prioritise that before hosting. But I try, when I can to help out travellers with a place to stay, when my flatmate and boyfriend also have the energy to have "strangers over" (they are not as extroverted as I am).

PHILOSOPHY
I've been active on CS on and off since I was 19 and I have used it for traveling, hosting and finding events. I do not appreciate that some users nowadays are using the community as a way to find hook ups, there are other apps and communities for that.

Life is NOT a journey, but a piece of music to experience.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I've hosted and stayed with some amazing people. I'm an extrovert individual and get energy from meeting new people.

I see myself as a collector of good people and interesting stories; so both when I host and surf I want to meet interesting people. Hopefully I can contribute by being someone interesting to them as well.

Interests

Music, meeting new people, spending time with family and friends, dancing, nature, good food and wine.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music: Kashmir, Mew, PINK FLOYD, Coldplay, Bloc Party, Massive Attack, Kasabian, Editors, Moderat, Roosevelt, Radiohead, Franz Ferdinand, Arctic Monkeys, Timbuktu, Muse, U2, St Lucia, Beat Connection, White Lies, Two Door Cinema Club, Tame Impala

Books: Låt den rätte komma in (Let the right one in) by John Lindqvist; George RR Martin's series "A song of ice and fire"

Movies: I'm a bit of movie nerd, but I've gotten more picky with my taste in movies lately. Directors Richard Linklater and Steve McQueen (not the actor) are safe bets on a good movie experience.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I went Interrailing in the summer 2008 and just as I was entering Lausanne in Switzerland the clouds opened op over Lake Geneva. It's the most beautiful thing I've ever seen.

Countries I’ve Visited

Austria, Denmark, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Italy, Malta, Spain, Switzerland, United States

Countries I’ve Lived In

Austria, Germany, Italy, Sweden
