About Me
CURRENT MISSION
I will be an Economics reporter for Reuters during the summer of 2016.
Graduate student at the Missouri School of Journalism in Columbia, MO.
Freelance writer, former editor of www.tunisialive.net
Former Summer intern at the St. Louis Post-Dispatch.
ABOUT ME
I grew up in San Mateo, California. I love traveling and meeting interesting people. I especially love watching soccer/football and have watched games at stadiums in at least 10 countries.
I was a Legislative Fellow on Capitol Hill in Washington D.C. working for the House Foreign Affairs Committee. Since then I have lived in Tunisia before and after the Revolution both to study Arabic and write about the country.
PHILOSOPHY
I live my life to make the lives of others better. I always try to keep my good sense of humor when things don't seem to go the way I want them to.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
During the summer of 2015 I used this site to Couchsurf for 56 consecutive nights staying with almost 28 different hosts in St. Louis while I did an internship with the St. Louis Post-Dispatch. It was amazing, and I experienced a lot of real life St. Louis using this platform.
I used the site to visit Peru and had an awesome time in Lima during the summer of 2013. My Couchsurfing hosts helped me meet and talk to 26 different Peruvian World Cup soccer players who played in the 1970, 1978 and 1982 tournaments.
I recently had a conference in Washington DC on using government data for reporting. I Couchsurfed with two hosts who were excellent.
I want to continue to use this site to meet interesting people.

Teach, Learn, Share
I am a Masters student in Journalism at one of the best Journalism Schools in the country so if you are interested in journalism, I would be a great person to talk to.
If you are a football/soccer fan there are probably many historical matches that we have both seen. We can talk about them like we are old friends.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I am really open with my hosts about my life experiences traveling and I love talking about my interests. In Washington DC recently I had two very different hosts, one was very interested in soccer/football and the other was very interested in my experiences in Tunisia. I shared my knowledge about both subjects. I can also talk a lot about journalism and working for people who have power.
