Overview
About Me
I am a working-class artist and activist who has made a dive into home ownership after years of being a vagabond.
The house I own was left empty for years, and purchased for $500 despite being a 3,000sq ft colonial. My partner and I are fixing it up, mostly on our own, with an artists' and activists' budget. It's rough, charming,
and my home! (Think urban camping, plus kitchen.)
I love to hear life stories, especially from those who have traversed unconventional or rocky paths.
I am anti-white supremacy activist. I am Queer.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I believe deeply in the power of cultural exchanges and in making travel accessible for everyone. I love learning through personal connection as well as sharing what I have learned.
Interests
In the past decade or so, I've had a million jobs ranging from the grotesque to the elite, traveled and moved more times than I can count, and have been to no less than four colleges.
My BGS was focused around fine art, visual/cultural anthropology, political science, education, and art history. Continuing, I am interested in how autonomous communities form and create their own governments and I want to create visual materials that incubate cross-cultural empathy/understanding.
I am a photographer, a sculptor, a painter. I write. They are their own languages; I see differently through each one. They also help pay my bills.
I love conversing deeply/I work best in quiet.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Been a few...
I drove across country (2600miles) with everything I owned packed into a '92 Volvo 240.
Took the Orient express, alone, so that I could hike through Cappadocia in solitude on my 23rd birthday.
I lived in a squat in Rome in a sort of torrid romance for a year. Spent time in other squatting communities in Amsterdam and London, meeting amazing people.
Started my local Occupy Movement. For better of for worse!
